Can customers find you in the top 3 in a Google “Maps” including
“near me” searches on cell phones? Google “Maps” are “local” business listings,
so most times the results will be from the area the search was made. Results
in different areas of a city may be different.
How do you know if customers using “Maps” can find you near your business
and in other areas of your city?
Follow these instructions to see real-time results.
1. Search Google for an address near your business (don’t use yours) and
paste the address in “Maps” and search. Then click “Nearby” and see if you
are in the top 3 in Maps in your area.
2. Now search your “city” and then click “Maps“ and you will see a map of
your city map with a red-dotted line around it. (city boundary)
3. Zoom into a northern area near the red-dotted line and copy an address.
4. Paste that address in the search bar. This will show you a map for that
specific area.
5. Under the picture you will see buttons. Click the “Nearby” button.
6. Enter your service and search (ac repair, Thai massage, roof replacement).
This will show you “Maps” results for that “search” in that “area”. Do you
see your business?
8. Now, do the same west, south and east by the red dotted line. That will
show you “Maps” results for those areas. Now you’ll know if customers can
find you in those areas.
If you see your business in the top 3 in all those searches, you’ll probably
be in the top 3 in EVERY area in your city in a “Maps’
search.
You CAN be in the top 3 for all those searches! Watch me
do it live.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
